Ingredients 500 g Beef Short ribs 100 g Carrots (Peeled Cubed) 100 g Celery (Peeled Cubed) 200 g Potatoes (Peeled Wedged) 2 pc Star Anise 1 pc Cinnamon Stick 1 pc Bay Leaf 1/4 cup Soy Sauce 50 g Brown Sugar 100 ml Pineapple Juice 1 lt Beef Stock (Unsalted) 50 g Flour 25 g Butter To taste Salt and Pepper Garnish: Sesame Seeds Cilantro Methods Season short ribs with salt and pepper then coat with flour. Dust of the excess and brown in pot with melted butter. Once the beef ribs are brown all over remove from pot and drain on paper towel. Add more butter to pot if needed and sauté onions and garlic for 2 minutes. Add carrots and celery and cook out for 2 minutes. Deglaze pot with pineapple juice and add beef and potatoes back to the pot. Cover with stock and add soy sauce. Bring to oil and once boiling turn down to a simmer and simmer for 2 hours. This will get the ribs nice and tender. To serve plate up in a wide bowl and garnish with sesame seeds and cilantro also pair with a side of rice.
