No matter who or where we are in malaysia, we come in contact with global multinational corporations everyday in our lives. How we interact with these giant companies and how they respond to us is always a very interesting subject to me. Some companies have a proper customer service department tracking all customer queries and complaints as valuable inputs with a systematic approach and timeline to respond to them. There are also others who really couldnt give a hoot. This Blog is to just highlight some of the practices, whether good or bad and also to give everyone a chance to voice out their experiences too.

One of the encounter that i want to share with everyone is Baskin Robbins. Few months back i bought some ice cream at the 1 utama counter and as i was accepting my change, i notice that they put up a mini sign next to the teller.

The sign says ” if you do not get receipt, please call 03-2288 8831′, which so happens that cashier forgot to give me! Curios as to what will happened, i call the number the next day….

Call attempt # 1 : I called and the receptionist is dumbfounded as to the reason i call and she cant pinpoint who to pass my call to. I was passed around several times and the call got drop

Call attempt #2 : I called again and told the receptionist to take my contact instead. I told her just leave a note to whoever and whats the reason im calling

Few hours passed and finally someone from baskin robbins marketing dept called me back…

BR Lady : Yes, Sir i understand you left a message for me?

Me: Yes, im calling in regards to your 1 utama outlet, they didnt or they forgot to issue me a receipt as i saw the notice on the cashier, it says to call if we didnt get a receipt.

BR Lady: Oh….. i see.In that case, Thank you. Will there be anything else?

ME: er…is that it?

BR Lady : Yes? will there be anything else?

Me:in that case, no.

BR Lady: Thank you *She hung up*

I was really dumbfounded with the whole conversation with the marketing lady from baskin robbins. I wasnt expecting a free bucket of ice cream as i was just curious to see what will happen when customers actually calls the number. Still, it would at least be nice for them to at least explain why they wanted customers to call them, be apologetic and actually make the customer feel appreciated for taking the time & $$$ to call them!

So what do you guys think? let me hear your thoughts on this!

Paramore Live in Kuala Lumpur 2010 – Ignorance (Opening Song)

Woots i just came back from Paramore Concert that was held earlier just now at Bukit Jalil National Stadium!!

Paramore was Awesome!!!!!! The whole band is really good, not only Hayley and her craziness. They are very good in bringing up the atmosphere making the crowd jumping, singing and dancing altogether.

Now i know what my girl meant because she attended the concert in Singapore earlier this year and she mentioned that she enjoyed a whole lot that time.

Thanks to Tune Talk & Nuffnang for the Rockzone tickets, i was there like 2 hours before the concert, yes super early i know but i didn’t know i would reach THAT early LOL as i took the train.

Well anyways yes the concert!! Paramore is an awesome band as they came out on stage right on time and to be frank, i think that’s the first time i see artists appearing on time (not like i frequent concerts but still) in a concert and by that alone, thumbs up to them.

Of course, Paramore did a great job entertaining us during the night with an extremely energetic concert. Hayley especially, she ran from one end to another end, jumped here and there, scream and shout and sang out loud. It was all crazy with much fun!

Hayley did mentioned that it was their first time here in Malaysia and they have been touring for 6 years already. She added on that Paramore should be in Malaysia much earlier looking at the amount of positive response from the amazing crowd of fans!

The Only Exception – Paramore Concert Live in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia 2010

One of the best part of the concert was the part where Paramore performed The Only Exception. Everyone was holding up their handphones, lighters & etc in the air and waving their hands singing along. The best thing the whole place was dark and we’re all enjoying Paramore’s performances under the bright moonlight!

When It Rains – Paramore Concert Live in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia 2010

I liked it when they performed a few songs acoustic version. The song arrangements were good and there were pretty much of interactions between the crowd and Hayley so i guessed those die hard fans right in front of the stage had quite an awesome night last night then!!

I don’t know about you but my Tuesday night totally rocked thanks to Paramore!!! One of the best concerts i’ve been in 2010!! =D

It was an awesome performance by Paramore and i would definitely watch them again if they ever come back to Malaysia!!!

Hayley Williams as Lead vocalist,she got super awesome voice,love her voice alot,very unique ♥ Besides her, Josh Farro as Lead guitarist ,Jeremy Davis as Bassistm ,Zac Farro as Drummer and Taylor York as Rhythm guitarist.Mix them up and you have PARAMORE!
